Herbivorous Fish Stocking

Triploid Grass Carp are a species of herbivorous fish that were intentionally introduced into Florida's lakes and ponds as a way to help control aggressive nuisance aquatic weed growth. These fish have an immense appetite for invasive plants such as Hydrilla, Coontail, Muskgrass, Southern Naiad and Slender Spikerush. The average size of the Triploid Carp when installed is 8-10 inches. They have a life span of 8-10 years.

Please contact us today to provide you with a fish stocking program specifically designed to target your water’s needs. Our permitting department works closely with the FWC (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission) and will provide you with the requirements necessary to stock your lake or pond.
